As part of the Impulso Adultos programme, funded by the Recovery and Resilience Programme (PRR), IPCA is promoting a series of short courses starting in October, with the aim of responding not only to the constant changes in the labour market, but also to new student profiles, namely adults working full-time, promoting lifelong learning and the constant updating of knowledge, skills and competences.
IPCA therefore invests in a range of free training programmes in various areas of design, engineering and technology and management, with a strong focus on digital skills.
Introduction to Intelligent Manufacturing Systems
This short course is designed to provide participants with skills related to intelligent production systems, i.e. practical skills that they can apply in their daily work to improve the way they plan and manage production.
Its objectives are
– Understand the concept of Intelligent Production Systems and the requirements and benefits associated with these systems;
– Understand the importance of intelligent production systems for organisations in the context of Industry 4.0;
– Understand the importance of production planning and control systems for the implementation of intelligent production systems;
– Identify the main functional areas of production planning and control systems and their respective functions;
– Identify the limitations of traditional models and their influence on the execution of the functions of production planning and control systems;
– Recognise the requirements of the models to be implemented in the different functional areas;
– Develop skills in the evaluation and selection of intelligent production systems.

Introduction to Photoshop
This short course is designed to provide an introduction to Adobe Photoshop software, with a particular focus on its capabilities for editing and compositing bitmap (and photographic) images to create digital and printed visual content.
