IPCA welcomes mobility students for the 2nd semester

Coming from more than 10 countries, the first international mobility students who chose IPCA for a period of study and internship in the second semester of this academic year have already started to arrive.

The students were welcomed by the Vice-President for Internationalisation, Communication and Culture, Paula Tavares, and by the International Relations Office, which organised a varied programme that included integration activities throughout the week.

The orientation programme began with a welcome session, followed by a Peddy Paper around the campus, during which the students, organised into small multicultural groups, were challenged to discover some of the institution’s particularities and interact with IPCA’s community. The afternoon was reserved to share more specific information related to the period of study and internships, as well as a presentation by the mobility coordinators of the schools and the Erasmus Student Network. During the break, the students were also able to taste the traditional Natas, one of our country’s best-known sweet delicacies.

Over the course of the week, the programme will also offer a guided tour of the city of Barcelos and interaction with IPCA buddies (national students who sponsor international students) and members of the RUN-EU Student Advisory Board (SAB), to share experiences and support these new IPCA students.

The Orientation Programme is held every semester to introduce mobility students to IPCA, providing them with all the relevant information to facilitate their stay and the academic integration process.
