IPCA was the host of the 3rd Meeting of Portuguese Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in European University Alliances, which was attended by 37 representatives of universities and polytechnics, as well as by the Director of the National Erasmus+ Agency, Prof Ana Cristina Perdigão.

Under the motto “European Universities as the Universities of the Future”, the meeting’s main agenda item was the definition of the mission of the Forum of Portuguese HEIs in European University Alliances, the governance models of these entities as well as the process and procedures relating to the creation of the Legal Entity.

The meeting also counted with the participation of Ruaidhri Neavyn, CEO of the Regional University Network RUN-EU, the European university that IPCA is part of, as well as Ana Gascón Marcén, coordinator of the EGAI – UNITA project.

The HEIs Forum was created with the aim of promoting the discussion of key issues such as funding and mobility within the Alliances, and it also serves as a place to share good practices, enabling a networked response to the various institutional challenges.

The Forum is led by IPCA, the University of Minho and the University of Beira Interior.
