IPCA’s teaching and non-teaching staff can carry out any of the activities described below:
- A teaching period abroad at a partner higher education institution. The teaching period abroad allows any lecturer from a higher education institution or company staff to teach at a partner higher education institution abroad. Staff mobility for teaching purposes can take place in any field of study.
- A training period abroad at a partner higher education institution, a company or any other relevant workplace. The training period abroad allows any staff member of an HEI to participate in a training activity abroad that is relevant to their daily work at the HEI. It can take the form of training events (except conferences) or on-the-job shadowing and observation periods.
A period of staff mobility abroad may combine teaching and training activities. Any period of teaching or training abroad may be carried out in the form of combined mobility.
Eligible Activities and Specific Objectives for Teaching Mobility
- Participate in the teaching of curricular units integrated into official study cycles at the host institution;
- Provide training in specialised areas within the professional context of teaching/non-teaching staff;
- Participate in teaching activities that promote the exchange of teaching experiences that enhance pedagogical innovation, Future Advanced Skills and English language teaching;

- Extend the impact of mobility to non-mobile students, promoting internationalisation at home;
- Proposing activities that could in future result in projects of interest to both parties;
- Promote personal and professional development and greater international openness.
Conditions
Eligible participants: IPCA’s teaching and non-teaching staff
Eligible host organisations: HEIs with which the School has an Erasmus+ Agreement, with STA flows. This type of grant cannot fund participation in congresses/conferences.
Duration: a minimum of 2 days and a maximum of 5 days, always taking into account a minimum of 8 teaching hours, excluding travel days (maximum 2 days). In case of mobility involving third countries not associated to the Programme, the minimum duration must be 5 days, excluding travel days. The same applies for invited staff from enterprises.
Eligible Activities and Specific Objectives for Training Mobility
- Participate in international training weeks that strengthen the management capacity of the institutions involved in the mobility process in areas considered to be of strategic importance for the development of cooperation relations between Higher Education Institutions.
- Participate in meetings with the intention of preparing study cycles in partnership and/or association, namely within the framework of the RUN-EU network of institutions.
- Attend training activities which reinforce the development of linguistic and intercultural skills that promote the internationalisation of the institution.
- Em complemento às atividades de formação, as missões deverão incluir os seguintes objetivos:
- Analyse new opportunities and promote the creation and/or strengthening of international cooperation between institutions;
- Identify good administrative practices and, in particular, new procedures that promote the improvement of services;
- Propose activities that could result in projects of interest to both institutions;
- Identify and propose new methodologies and innovative work tools that enhance digitalisation and sustainability, as well as reduce the bureaucratic burden associated with the daily management of activities related to the performed tasks;

Eligible participants: IPCA’s teaching and non-teaching staff
Eligible host organisations: companies, autonomous research centres, organisations of various kinds and HEIs. It is not compulsory to have an agreement with HEIs.
