Ethics Committee

The IPCA is guided by the principles of democracy and participation and develops its activities in accordance with the principles that guide the activities of the public administration, taking as fundamental the values of ethics, excellence, inclusive, innovative and flexible teaching, transfer and valorisation of knowledge, competitiveness and entrepreneurship.

The IPCA Ethics Committee is a collegial, consultative, multidisciplinary and independent body that aims to ensure that standards of integrity, honesty and ethical quality are maintained and promoted in the activities of the units that make up the IPCA.

The IPCA Ethics Committee aims to contribute to the effective respect of ethical and deontological principles in all aspects of the IPCA’s activities, always bearing in mind the importance of safeguarding the principle of the dignity of the human person as a guarantee for the exercise of their fundamental rights, as well as the integrity, trust and security of the procedures in force in each institution, within the framework of the rules already established in the IPCA Code of Conduct, approved by Order no. 8643/2020, published in the 2nd series of the Diário da República, of 8 September.
