RUN-EU European University

IPCA is part of the RUN-EU (Regional University Network) of the European University, which includes the following partner institutions: Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, which coordinates the network, Technological University of the Shannon (Ireland), Széchenyi István University (SZE) (Hungary), Häme University of Applied Sciences HAMK (Finland), NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands), and FH Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences (Austria). To achieve its goals, the alliance also collaborates with CCDR-n, InvestBraga, and INL as associated partners of the Northern region of Portugal.

European Universities are transnational alliances of higher education institutions from all over the European Union, which join forces for the benefit of students, the academic community, and societies. European Universities receive financial support within the framework of Erasmus+ and Horizon 2020 programmes. This is an initiative that reinforces the quality, inclusion, digitization, and attractiveness of European higher education.

The Inter-Regional University Alliance (RUN-EU) aims to develop training programmes that promote future and advanced skills for social transformation in the regions of the European Union. The Higher Education Institutions have been jointly developing a diverse range of teaching and learning activities, providing students with different international programmes (short-term and e-learning), as well as implementing international cooperation projects in the field of research and development. In the near future, students will also have the opportunity to obtain European double/multiple degrees through joint training programmes.

RUN-EU’s mission is to promote economic, social, cultural, and sustainable development of the regions covered by the network, providing the necessary skills for students, researchers, and regional agents to successfully face the challenges of the future. This consortium aims to be an active agent in the social transformation of regions, promoting active citizenship and leading the creation of a new multinational interregional alliance (European Interregional Development Zone).
