OPAS – IPCA’s Permanent Observatory on School Dropout and Success is the creation of a predictive model to combat dropout based on artificial intelligence and data science, based on a multidimensional vision – personal, academic, socio-demographic and social.
Objectives
- To analyse, identify and implement actions that contribute to the definition of internal policies to combat dropout/promote academic success;
- To develop and implement a predictive data analysis model capable of generating knowledge in order to identify dropout/promotion indicators;
- Identifying and classifying situations and students at risk of dropping out of school and implementing measures to reduce the risk of dropping out of school;
- Improve the quality of service provided to students, the average response time and the reduction of context costs.
OPAS is a project developed at the Laboratory of Applied Artificial Intelligence (2Ai), under Call No. 01/SAMA2020/2019 – Support system for the digital transformation of public administration: artificial intelligence and data science.
