IPCA organised the 3rd edition of International Week – InWeek

In its ongoing effort to promote a variety of internationalisation activities, IPCA held the 3rd edition of International Week - InWeek, which took place on the IPCA campus last week, from 20 to 24 May 2024.

This week of international training aimed to offer an enriching international and intercultural learning experience as well as the opportunity to discuss emerging topics for both international participants and IPCA’s academic community. This edition’s agenda focused on Micro Credentials and included interactive group sessions, workshops and group work aimed at strengthening international cooperation by encouraging the exchange of know-how, best practices and experiences.

This was also an excellent time to promote Internationalisation at Home, providing truly international moments, such as the Market Place during which the around 40 international participants from 21 countries presented their institutions and their countries to IPCA’s community. Taking advantage of the occasion, and in the spirit of celebrating IPCA’s 30th anniversary, the “30 Years / 30 Universities” exhibition was also promoted, representing the 30 institutions present at InWeek.

The week began with a welcome session by IPCA’s Vice-President for Internationalisation, Communication and Culture, Paula Tavares. In addition to the presentation of IPCA, its Research and Development Units and IPCA projects, the participants had the opportunity to enjoy a programme rich in knowledge and culture in the city of Barcelos.

Cultural diversity was very much present during this week which, in addition to the participants from Europe, also included representatives from Cape Verde, Bhutan, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Nepal and Tunisia.
