First, they visited the site where a set of facilities will be created that will double the current area of the Campus, namely the Collaborative Research and Innovation Center – B-Cric, a new complex dedicated to research, valorization, and technology transfer, which will bring together research centers and areas. This project also includes the construction of a student residence, with a capacity for 195 beds, and a multi-purpose auditorium for 500 people, which will also serve the city of Barcelos.
Next, the IPCA Curators moved to the building of the former Gonçalo Pereira School, where the School of Design will be relocated from the next academic year, as the work is expected to be completed at the end of June.
The construction of these facilities will provide a strong boost to the consolidation trajectory of IPCA in terms of research, pedagogical innovation, knowledge transfer, and its connection to the community, enhancing the development of the city of Barcelos and the region.
