Research Mobility Grants

The IPCA, as part of its participation in the European University RUN-EU, has launched an international mobility program focused on Research, Development and Innovation.

This program provides for the award of 21 international mobility grants to graduate students, teachers, and researchers who wish to carry out R&D and/or innovation activities at one of RUN-EU’s partner institutions. These activities may include preparing and submitting R&D projects, strengthening or creating R&D synergies, conducting laboratory rotations, sharing best practices, among others.

The IPCA mobility proposal for R&D&I, within the scope of RUN-EU’s WP5 – Research, includes three types of mobility:

  1. 4 week mobility for researchers/teachers
    • Number of grants available: 9 grants;
    • Financial conditions:
      • Travel subsidy: 350€/per person
      • Subsistence subsidy: 88€/day/per person for 25 dias
  2. 12 week mobility for researchers/teachers
    • Number of grants available: 3 grants;
    • Financial conditions:
      • Travel subsidy: 350€/per person
      • Subsistence subsidy: 3.500€/per person
  3. 4 week mobility for Master´s/Postgraduate students 
    • Number of grants available: 9 grants;
    • Financial conditions:
      • Travel subsidy: 350€/per person
      • Subsistence subsidy: 600€/per person

The program provides for the following application phases:

  • 1st Application Phase: Until July 18, 2022
  • 2nd Application Phase: Until September 20, 2022*
  • 3rd Application Phase: Until October 17, 2022*
  • 4th Application Phase: Until March 31, 2023

*Number of mobility slots depends on the slots left in the previous phases.

The mobility program announcement includes a template (pages 8-9) that must be completed and submitted with the mobility proposal to gab_inv_inov_presidencia@ipca.pt. Mobility must be completed by July 2023, at the latest.
