IPCA celebrates Women’s Day with a round table and scholarships

It is on Women's Day, March 8, that IPCA will deliver the first Women+ Scholarships, within the scope of the SKILLS BOOST 2025@IPCA project, financed by the PRR.

The session begins at 10:30 am with a welcome from the IPCA President, Maria José Fernandes.

This is followed by the round table with the theme Employability and Women in the STEAM areas, which includes CTeSP student in Advanced Construction Technologies at IPCA and PhD in Psychology, Iva Tendais; the student in Electronic and Computer Engineering at IPCA and Engineer at Bosch, Ana Almeida; and DST Group Human Resources Director, José Machado. It is intended, through this conversation, to address the empowerment of women through the STEAM areas.

At the end of the round table, the Women+ Scholarships will be awarded, which seek to encourage and attract the entry of female students in the study cycles in the areas of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM areas). This moment counts on Pedro Dominguinhos, President of the National Monitoring Committee of the PRR.

This initiative is part of IPCA’s 2025 Strategic Plan and Action Plan for Gender Equality, contributing to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 5.
